Privacy Policy
Edify is a prayer habit app. We keep your data to the minimum needed, we do not sell it, and we do not use advertising or tracking.
What stays on your phone
Your prayer sessions, daily focus, settings, reminders and streak calculations are stored only on your device (and on your Apple Watch, synced directly between your devices). We never receive them. If you use iCloud backup, Apple may back them up under your Apple account.
If you use the Friends feature
Friends is optional. If you sign in, we store on our servers:
- Your email address (to sign you in with a one-time code)
- A display name you choose
- Totals needed for accountability: minutes prayed per day, your current streak and days prayed
- Your live status (praying, online or away), updated while the app is open
- Your prayer partners and invite codes
- Your country, only if you turn on "show on map". We store the country, not your location
Your partners can see your display name, those totals, your streak and your status. The world map shows only anonymous country-level dots for people who opt in. We never see or store your precise location, your prayer content or what you pray about.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in.
- Resend sends the sign-in email containing your one-time code.
- Apple handles subscriptions and payments. We never see your card details. Apple tells us only whether a subscription is active.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Your choices
- You can use the core app without ever creating an account.
- Turn off "show on map" any time.
- Delete your account in the app (Friends, gear, Account, Delete account). This erases your profile, totals, status and partnerships from our servers.
- To ask about or remove data any other way, email support@edifyapp.xyz.
Children
Edify is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
